Disqualified SUG VP Aspirant Brought Back, See What He Has To Say
A SUG Candidate been disqualified from the Fuoye Student Union Election, The Vice President Aspirant in person of Bisiriyu Ayorinde Seun (Ayodinho) name and other was not found on the qualified candidate list.
After the news about Fuoye taking part in ASUU strike, Ayodinho himself publish and shared insight on his restoration back to be eligible to contest for the Vice President of the Fuoye Student Union Government.
Quoting Ayodinho…
I Bisiriyu Ayorinde Seun (Ayodinho) really appreciate every active FUOYEites for the *love and support* shown to me yesterday, i can’t thank you enough…It is a pity that the DSA believed all the ‘lies’ told to him about me without confirmation(we’re all human afterall) Even after I passed all the tests. The rumour was that I failed the drug test, lol they wished, I neither Smoke nor take any kind of illegal drugs, how I wan take fail “dope test” OR I’ve issues with the security, which the CSO has cleared…
Note: I’m not a cultist and I’ve never had issues with the School Securities, Nigeria Police Force, SARS or any security agency
Their only reason is because someone told them that “I’ll be a potential threat to the management”. And that I also have too many supporters which can be destructive to the school. Those excuses are not valid enough.
Now, my name has been returned to the list and they are still looking for opponents for me. What is my offence? oppositions are highly welcome

KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE FUOYE SCREENING REGISTRATION AND THE MAIN SCREENING EXERCISE
I think it wise to bring to your understanding the processes of the coming FUOYE screening exercise. I have been receiving several calls from people who have been mis-informed about the application news released by the school for its screening exercise commencing from 11th September through 29th.
There are three phases to FUOYE Admission processes and these are clearly explained
below;
✅ *APPLICATION/REGISTRATION FOR SCREENING*: This is the first phase of FUOYE admission processes which was advertised on the school website (www.fuoye.edu.ng) on Thursday 31st August. The registration is scheduled to hold for 2 weeks (11th - 29th September). Interested aspirants are expected to apply for the main screening with valid e-mail & phone number while uploading requested credentials which include *FUOYE portal-sized passport* and O-level results for UTME aspirants & Diploma (ND, HND, etc)/NCE result for Direct Entry aspirants. DE aspirants are also expected to process their transcript to the school before the end of the registration on 29th.
✅ *SCREENING TEST*: This phase is the main determining phase of FUOYE admission. After the registration would have been ended on 29th, the school will collate the list of applicants during the application period and then prepare the time-table for the applicants to be present for physical screening. This usually takes a week or two, depending on the total number of applicants. The school usually prefer written exam before last year when post-utme exam was banned and the school opted for physical interview. The school *may likely return* to post-UTME written exam this year if the current ASUU strike lingers. But this would be determined by the school management and included in the instructions which would be provided when applicants are invited for the screening test. So please forget any hear say for now and just prepare for both options.
✅ The last phase of the school admission process is when you are being welcomed to the school and requested to proceed with your Acceptance Fee payment and complete your Student Online/Physical Registration. After the list of successful applicants would have been taken to JAMB and approved. You'll be asked to log in to the school portal and check your admission status. For second list or some suplimentary list, you *may* receive a personal notification message from the school.
Among other questions being asked is how much will the application cost? As you know, last year JAMB direct schools not to collect any fee above 2,500 and the school complied. So for this year, the school is also expected to comply with JAMB's directives if #2,000. Any other charges by the school would be made open and communicated to the general public on the school website. So please disregard any other commitment by any person or blogging site.
Wish u best of luck in your journey to FUOYE.

FUOYE students protest lecturer’s alleged extortion
The main gate of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, (FUOYE) was on
Monday barricaded for hours, as students of the institution staged a
protest against alleged extortion, by a management staff of the
institution.
They accused him of collecting N500 each from some students in the name of organising tutorials for them without issuing receipts.
Academic and other activities were paralysed as staff were barred from gaining entrance into the university by the protesting students who demanded the immediate removal of a top management staff and reinstatement as well as extension of the tenure of the out-gone Dean, Students’ Affairs, Dr Olugbenga Adeyemi.
The staff could not be reached to react to the students’ allegation as he was not on the campus as at the time of filing this report, while his mobile phone was switched off.
The students demanded the immediate commencement of the process for the conduct of the election of the Institution’s Students’ Union Government (SUG) and the removal of external security personnel now that the school had fully resumed after the strike occasioned by the Non Academic Staff Union.
The Speaker, Students’ Representative Council, Victor Akinnibosun, who spoke on behalf of the students, said: “No inauguration of elected members of students’ union government, no 2016/ 2017 second semester examinations”.
The students later removed the barricade and opened the main gate after which an urgent meeting was held with the student representatives by the management of the institution.
Akinnibosun insisted that the tenure of Adeyemi as Dean Students’ Affairs must be extended till the end of 2017.
Other resolutions reached with the management included the refund of the alleged N500 collected from the affected students for tutorials with effect from Tuesday, July 25 and the conduct of SUG election in
the next three weeks.
Dr Adeyemi who later addressed the protesters, asked them to go back to their various hostels to allow normal activities commence, said he has no issues with the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof., Kayode
Soremekun.
“Let me tell you,(students) that in the last one and half years that I have occupied the position of the Dean Students’ Affairs, I have been carrying out my legitimate duties as directed by the VC.
“The VC has right to appoint anybody, any time into any position. I want to tell you that the VC gave approval for me to visit six universities in the country to study them for free, fair and credible election as part of processes for the SUG election in FUOYE.
“Parts of the resolutions reached this morning with the management on your behalf is that SUG election will hold in the next three weeks,” Dr Adeyemi said.
The University’s Public Relations Officer, (PRO), Mr Godfrey Bakji said the management is ready to meet the demands of the protesters.
